FYI, this bird is a Violet-crowned Hummingbird, not a Broad-billed.
Note the violet crown, overall brownish (not green) coloration to the upperparts, the white upper breast and the white throat. The bicolored bill is fine for Violet-crowned. Also note the brownish tail. Your Broad-billed Hummingbird shots all show a black tail.
FYI, this is the first I've seen your site. Amazing pics!
I retired after 45 years in sales and moved with my wife to Mexico in 2005. Have been a avid photographer for over 50 years with many photos published in many magazines over the years, was astonished by the many bird species in Mexico so I started to photograph some of them. Equipment use ,Canon 5D eos camera,Canon 600mm.F4 lense, Gitzo tripod with a Wimberley head. Hope everyone enjoys Vince Gravel
